These are the chapter programs planned for this year. All programs begin at 7:30 pm unless otherwise noted. If there is a dinner before, it begins at 6:30 PM. Reservations and a $20 fee are required for dinner.
- September 27 – Opening Banquet
The first event of the year takes place on September 27. This is the kickoff to our 110th year as the St. Louis Chapter of the AGO. This takes place at the Parish Center of Our Lady of the Pillar, 401 S. Lindbergh Blvd. Randy Zerkel will be presenting at this event.
- October 10-11 – Organ and Handbells weekend with Dr. John Behnke
Dr. John Behnke will be joining us for a two-day event, starting with a concert on Sunday October 10, and then a reading session on the following Monday evening. This will take place at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Belleville.
- November 15 – Certification: who, what, where, when, how?
For our November event, Certification Coordinator Brent Johnson will discuss the process of being certified, and several recently certified members will perform literature from the certification exams. This will take place at Little Flower Parish in Richmond Heights.
- January 7 – Epiphany Party
A social event to relax after the hectic Christmas season. This event is pending due to pandemic status.
- February 11-13 – February Flourish
Once again, the St. Louis AGO will be hosting a February Flourish. This is a weekend event with several guest musicians. Full information is available here.
- March 28 – Program focusing on the Young Organist
July 2021-June 2022 has been denoted as the Year of the Young Organist by the American Guild of Organists. Our March program(s) will be devoted to this effort.
- May 23 – Annual Meeting and Banquet
Our closing event of the year will take place on the Mississippi River. The AGO’s Director of Member Engagement & Chapter Relations Elizabeth George will join us for a dinner and boat ride. The annual meeting will feature the installation of new officers and Chapter Awards.
