Call to Order: Dean Dawn Riske called the meeting to order at 5:40 pm.
Review of the Minutes:  Brent motioned and Jeff seconded to approve the January minutes with revision of Dr. Armstrong’s name to Ms Armstrong. Minutes were approved unanimously.
Treasurer’s Report: Brent motioned and Phillip seconded to approve the treasurer’s report. Minutes were approved unanimously.
Dean’s Report: Dawn discussed the program considerations and due to the number of requests that may come in to be part of the program there are several factors to consider when setting up the programs for the year. Also Dawn is not going to the convention in Houston and asked if anyone would like to go as her representative. Cathy expressed interest in going (but since the meeting, decided not to go and notified Dawn to offer the registration to someone else).
Sub-Dean Report: The 2016-2017 Program Committee has almost completed the venues. There are currently 2 nominations for the Blewett Award.  Horst and Phillip are on the committee. Mark will give Program information to Rene and Stephen Eros for the Program Brochure.
Registrar: Brent reported we have 152 active members. Elections for 2017 Executive Board are beginning.
OPUS Newsletter: Nancy will look into the problematic advertisers. Delivery was quite early for the February issue. This was an efficient month. Let’s hope it repeats for March.
Social Media Coordinator: Rene explained the importance of members hitting the “Like” button on the facebook pages he sends out. The number of “Likes” impacts how Facebook determines importance of events being publicized. He is experimenting on what results we get from which activities. The archives have been updated on the website. Basic guild communication includes Facebook, the website and OPUS. OPUS is on the website as a PDF file. Rene has concern about various email addresses which may cause member confusion about how to publicize their events.  For example, there is one email address for OPUS submissions, and another for web site events.  Rene floated the idea of merging everything into one email account (as an example, “  The idea has been tabled for discussion at the next meeting.
Elections Committee: Nannette reported on the candidates. There are 3 candidates for Treasurer: Dennis York, Jeff White, Mike Kaberline. The four candidates for class of 2019 are: Stephen Jones, John Hawn, Mary Hitchcock Rhinehart, and Ted Cronbaugh. Mark Scholtz, as Sub-Dean, moves to the position of Dean Candidate, and Burnell Hackmann is the Sub-Dean candidate. Future discussions for elections include preventing burn-out for the Sub-Dean into the position of Dean due to the number of consecutive years.
Brent Johnson reported: The King of Instruments (on Sundays at 6:00 pm on Radio Arts Foundation 107.3 FM – 96.3Hd2 – RAFSTL.ORG)Brent has a pledge of sponsors for the April, May, June shows. The Guild has paid for February and March. The yearly cost is $5200. To Radio Arts and $1200 to Organ Media. With the pledges and sponsors, the balance for the remainder of the year is $3752.  The cost of sponsoring one episode is very affordable at $80. Rene proposed a form should be developed to give to Sponsors. Mark motioned and Jeff White seconded that the Guild be a guarantor for the King of Instruments Radio Show with sponsorships being sold and profits will be returned to the Guild. The motion was unanimously approved.
Finance Committee Members are: Dennis York, Jeff White, Mike Kaberline, Kathleen Bolduan
Old Business: Update on Parish Based Music Schools–Collaboration with Martin Jean. The information is listed in the upcoming OPUS.
Still under consideration January Jubilee 2017 and Pipe Organ Encounter.
New Business: Phillip volunteered to oversee the revision of the Operating Procedures.
