A quorum of 7 is required to conduct business. There were 9 members present.
Call to Order: CP called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM
Review of Minutes: Minutes of September 15, 2008 meeting approved with the spelling corrections and the inclusion of Barbara Raedeke as a member of the Young Organist Committee: (HE motioned to accept, JW seconded; Motion carried by voice vote).
Treasurer.s Report:
DY reported that the current balance is $20,523.56. He reported that membership reminders had been sent. CP will check with KB about membership renewal status. DY reported that according to his records, 66 people had not yet renewed.
Dean.s Report:
Due to technical problems with Vista Print, the pamphlets for The Year Of The Organ regional events was not produced. Alternative plans will be to include this information on the website.
Sub-Dean.s/Program Committee Report:
All scheduled programs have been confirmed except the April recital and masterclass by Pierre Perdigon. There has been some difficulty with the travel visas. It was agreed that a firm commitment would be needed by 1/1/2009, otherwise HE will pursue an alternative program.
Auditor Report:
DD requested that the accounting report contain more detailed information regarding expenditures.

Telephone Committee: RM reported that the telephone committee will continue to make reminder calls to the membership prior to the scheduled meetings.
Website: CP is continuing to work with Lisette to improve and expand the information on the website. BJ suggested that we consider a forum on the website for job announcements and substitute organist postings and availability. This portion of the website would be accessible only to members. Others suggested that there be a section for the POE for next year, that the membership list be available online in a restricted area, and consider perhaps including the ability to renew memberships online.
New Business:
The January Executive Committee meeting will be held on January 12, 2009 at Trinity Presbyterian Church at 7:00 PM.
There will be an Epiphany Party .Afterglow. on Monday, January 5, 2009 hosted by BW. CP will send out invitations.
BW will work with CP on
The American Organist (TAO) chapter news.
January begins the nomination process to replace any vacancies on the executive committee. The past dean will chair the nominating committee. We will need to clearly communicate with the membership the proper procedure for nomination of candidates.
