Gethsemane Lutheran Church (ELCA) seeks a Bell Choir Director to direct weekly practices (currently rehearsing on Monday evenings from 6-7:00 PM) and Sunday morning performances (scheduled 6 times during the year between Labor Day and Memorial Day/Pentecost). - Number of ringers: 10
- Number of octaves of bells/handchimes: 4-octave set of Schulmerich Handbells and 3-octave set of Yamaha hand chimes
- Expected frequency of performance: seasonally during church liturgical year (6 occasions between Labor Day and Memorial Day)
- Rehearsal: weekly on Monday nights from 6:00-7:00 PM
- Performance Schedule: Sunday worship at 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM on 6 occasions (decided around the ringers’ availability) usually one Sunday during Sundays after Pentecost/Ordinary Time in September, Reformation Sunday (last Sunday of October) or All Saint’s Sunday (first Sunday of November), Christmas Eve, Epiphany in January or February, Easter Sunday, and Pentecost Sunday.
Compensation: about $300/month for 9 months (Labor Day through Memorial Day)
