Organist

First Presbyterian Church of Alton, Illinois is seeking a part-time organist. The duties include selecting and performing traditional preludes and postludes for Sunday Morning Worship Service; accompanying the Adult Choir for Wednesday rehearsals from 7:00 – 8:30 pm, as well as Sunday morning pre-service warmup and worship services; providing organ support for the congregational singing in Sunday services, as well as special Advent and Lenten Worship; and consulting with the Music Director/Coordinator and Pastor/Head of Staff to plan cohesive Lectionary based traditional worship in the Reform Tradition. The organ at First Presbyterian was built by Robert Dial Organbuilders in 1991. It has three manuals, 45 ranks, floating chamade and 32′ sub-bass (elec.)
