Organist John Cargile, joined by cello, tuba and theremin, presents works by Daniel Pinkham, Calvin Hampton, Messiaen, Mendelssohn, J.S. Bach and others. Vocal selections from The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked and Sweeney Todd will be sung by tenor Anthony Heinemman and soprano Darcie Johnson. Sing Pumpkin Carols with dancing ghosts and skeletons. Part of the Joy of Music Series. Admission is free and costumes are encouraged.

Nordic Choir, founded in 1946, enjoys national and international stature as one of the premier collegiate choral ensembles in the United States. Acclaimed for the way it honors the Lutheran choral tradition while also featuring new and innovative choral works, the choir showcases versatility, artistry, and technical mastery across many genres of music. Chelsea Chen, Organ Recital

With playing described as “stunning” and possessing “lovely lyrical grandeur” (Los Angeles Times), Chelsea Chen has electrified audiences throughout the United States and Asia. A Fulbright scholar and graduate of Juilliard and Yale University, she has performed to great acclaim at many important venues including Singapore’s Esplanade, Hong Kong’s Cultural Centre, Philadelphia’s Kimmel Center, and Los Angeles’ Disney Hall. She currently serves as Artist-in-Residence at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Manhattan. Part of the Joy of Music Series. Admission is free.
