The Gateway Ringers of St. Louis, MO are currently seeking applicants for the position of director, effective August, 2018. The director must be comfortable with conducting level 6 handbell music. The responsibilities include selecting repertoire and securing performance venues. Rehearsals are Sunday evenings (currently 6:30 to 8:30 pm), January through May, and August through mid-December. The Gateway Ringers is an auditioned community choir, comprised of handbell ringers from the St. Louis metropolitan area. Our mission is to inspire excellence in musicianship and heighten awareness of handbell music. The group has been in existence since the fall of 1995, and performs using five octaves of Malmark handbells and five octaves of Malmark ChoirChimes.
