Call to Order: Dean Bill Wade called the meeting to order at 6:02 pm.

Review of the Minutes: Minutes of the April 14th meeting were approved with a motion from Andy Peters and seconded by Mark Scholtz. Minutes were unanimously approved with one correction to the date of the May Avis Blewett event.

Treasurer’s Report: Current balance of $13,550.59. Motion to approve was made by Wes and seconded by Brent. Treasurer’s report was approved by all.

Dean’s Report: Update on National Council Luncheon in April. We had four representatives from our committee that met with the National Officers for lunch: Bill Wade, Bob Mullgardt, Cathy Bolduan, Cathy Cassy. Rose Whitmoor, DMA, is now organist at Principia College. Our member’s recital participation and attendance was poor – possibly due to the weather conditions. Revision of the Chapter Operating Procedures is needed to see if it follows that recommended by National. There should be a standing committee to check yearly to see if the bylaws are up-to-date. This will be a summer project this year. The bylaws were last updated in 2012. We can either do amendments or complete revision. Brent made a motion to form a committee to work on bylaws this summer and present them in August. Mark seconded. Approved unanimously. Bill Wade offered to chair the committee to revise the bylaws. Bill will also set a time to meet with the new officers for orientation. Dawn will check with the missing members to see if they will be present for May 19th installation. New officers: Dean: Dawn Riske; Sub-Dean: Mark Scholtz; Executive Committee Class of 2017: Mary Beth Wittry, Jeff White, Philip Brunswick.

Sub-Dean Report: Stephen presented the currently planned 2014-2015 listing of program events. It will open on Sunday, September 28th at 5:00 pm with a 30 minute organ recital followed by Evensong at Christ Church Cathedral. The chapter will give $200 to help pay for the appetizers for that evening. October 5th at 2:30 pm – Hans Leitner at Cathedral Basilica. October 6th – Dinner meeting and Master Class with Hans Leitner. October 20th and 21st – Lecture series at Second Presbyterian Church with Thomas H. Troeger: “Song that Blesses Earth.” November will be a fundraising event for 2015 Regional Convention. January 5th – Epiphany Party. February 8th and 9th: Organ Recital (Cathedral Basilica) and Master Class (Christ Church Cathedral) by Todd Wilson. March: Lecture on the Bach Passions by Denis Sparger at Centenary Methodist Church. April: Stephen Mager will present “Taking the Mystery Out of Composing” at Bethel Lutheran Church. May 4th: Organ Recital by Elizabeth and Raymond Chenault. May 18th: Blewett Award/Annual Meeting and Installation of Officers at Trinity Lutheran in Soulard. Wes made a request to the committee to co-sponsor artist Christopher Houlihan June 21st at Trinity. Andy reminded the committee that funds will also be needed to pay for the rental royalties for the silent movie fundraising event in November. Stephen made a motion that the program committee budget be increased from $2700 to $4000. Brent seconded the motion. Motion was unanimously approved. Brent will check with Al Haker about the possibility of using Scottish Rite for the Fundraising event. Brent motioned to approve the 2014-2015 program as presented with the addition of June 21st event at Trinity Lutheran Soulard.

Registrar’s Report: Voting reported 45 of the 158 members voted on-line; 51 additional votes were returned via US Mail for a total of 96 out of 158 (61%). The updated agostlouis.org site now links membership to OnCard since all registration will be done through National.

Social Media: Rene reports we have 121 “Likes” on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/agostlouis

OPUS Newsletter: No June Opus scheduled. Opus is published 8 times/year. May’s issue was delivered late so Bill Stein will not be charged for his ad for the organ dedication.

Old Business: Andy reported on the Regional Convention: Our registration fees will be lower than others and will include transportation. He reminded that all chapter members must register for the convention if they wish to attend convention events. The schedule is being tweaked for Tuesday morning. Deposit and contract was given to the Bus Company. One more presenter is needed to complete the list of workshop presenters. Suggestions that were given included: offering advertisers a free ad in Opus next June if they purchase an ad in the convention book; having a used music sale as a possible fundraiser. Executive Committee was asked to contribute to the Regional Convention.

Reminder: Think of new members to invite to join. We need 2 under 30 years old.

New Business: Brent suggested that attendance prizes be given out at meetings. The Organ Media Foundation has CD’s that he can use to give at meetings. Dawn motioned to accept the idea of giving out attendance prizes. Wes seconded the motion and all approved.

Bill reported that a parent, Jennifer Foss, requested someone present to her home-schooled children a 30 minute to 1 hour recital and talk on Mozart. Brent volunteered to host and Dawn will play. Date to be determined as June 22 or 25th.

A request to meet before the main meetings was discussed. Suggestion was presented to try it for 3 months. If meetings require more time another one could be scheduled. Location of future meetings was discussed. Bill Wade said he could arrange for use of Trinity Presbyterian if he knows in advance.

Possibility of having name stickers available at meetings for all to have a name tag was discussed.

Class of 2014 members are in office until June 30. New electees begin on July 1, 2014

Mark motioned and Dennis seconded to adjourn the meeting.
